Check & Deuce Academy was founded by Chad Edwards. Chad is a native of Denver, Colorado and grew up in the Mayfair neighboorhood. He played high school tennis at Regis and East High Schools and in College at Grambling State University. Chad is currently rated as a 5.0 and holds a teaching certification with PTR. Chad learned how to play chess at an early age and is the chess coach at DSST Conservatory Green High School where he also teaches chess as a part of the school curriculum.
